AI Transformation Advisory.
Built to your scope.
Get every team in the business aligned on AI.
You have AI spending running across more than one team, and the picture is uneven. One team has found something that works. Another has the same tools and nothing to show for them. Nobody can say which of them is closer to right, because there is no read that covers all of them.
The AI Profit Sprint takes one leader and their team through 90 days of that work. The Advisory runs the same work for every team in scope, brings those reads together into one view of the business, and adds a leadership layer across them so the decisions each team makes add up to one direction.
What sits alongside that is built to what your organization needs, and we agree all of it with you before anything starts.
More than one team, and one direction.
The Advisory is built for a leader whose accountability covers more than one team. A CMO with four teams underneath them. A COO across operations. A CHRO across the whole business. A CEO who approved AI spending company-wide and now wants to know what it bought.
It sits in your people and your process.
The AI Profitability Gap™ is the distance between what you expected AI to deliver and what it is delivering. It is made of three conditions your reporting does not cover: whether the AI work is pointed at something the business needs, whether your people get more out of the tools than the obvious, and whether the time AI saves goes back into work that earns. All three sit in your people and your process, and that is where we go deepest.
We work alongside what you have already bought. Your strategy stays yours, your platform stays yours, and your technology partner keeps doing their work.
The part that does not change.
- A Sprint for each leader and team in scope. Each one gets the full 90 days, not a thinner version for the teams further down the list.
- The organization-wide view. The reads from every team brought together in one place, so you can see where the same problem is showing up in more than one team, and where one team has already solved something the others have not.
- The leadership layer. Working sessions with you and the leaders in scope, running across the Sprints. It is where the decisions coming out of each team get compared, so four teams do not end up pointed at four different things.
The part that is built to you.
Those three are in every Advisory. What goes alongside them is a decision we make with you once, during scoping, because a business doing its first AI rollout and a business two years into it do not need the same help. Whatever we agree is written into the scope with a price against it before you commit.
- Executive coaching for the leaders in scope. One-to-one sessions with the leaders whose teams are in the engagement, on the calls they have not had to make before. How many leaders and how many sessions is agreed in the scope, and the coaching finishes when the engagement finishes.
- Organizational strategy. How the work itself is organized once AI models are doing part of it: which decisions sit with which role, and how a change of this size gets taken up by the people it lands on. This is Rob's field.
- Your business strategy and the AI work, joined up. Your strategy stays yours, and in most cases you have already paid someone to help you build it. Our work is to connect the AI effort to it, and to show you where the two do not yet line up.
- Team sessions. Time with the people doing the job, shaped around what their own Sprint found.
Those are the parts we are asked for most often, and they are not a fixed menu. The first call is where we work out which of them your organization needs, and whether it needs something else more.
Built by the two founders.
Matt and Rob lead the work themselves, and the scope is set to what they can lead. That is a real limit on how many teams we take in one engagement, and it is one of the things we work out on the first call.
Matt Perry has spent about thirty years inside marketing and creative organizations finding the alignment between brands, products and people, and the last few years on AI strategy and building AI solutions. Rob Cannon, PhD, is an organizational psychologist who studied at Cambridge and earned his PhD at Sydney, and who studies how teams adopt, resist and reshape new ways of working.
Who is in it, and what is in it.
Nothing starts until the scope is agreed, and the scope is most of the conversation. It settles two things: who is in the engagement, and what is in it.
On the first call we work out which leaders and teams belong in it. That is rarely everyone. Putting a team in scope that does not need it adds cost without adding return.
Then we work out what the engagement has to include beyond the Sprints and the leadership layer. Some organizations need the coaching because the leaders are the constraint. Others want the Sprints run cleanly across the teams and nothing else. We would rather find that out with you at the start than sell you a shape that does not fit.
From there we agree what each team in scope needs to change, who owns the work on your side, and the start and finish dates. You see the whole scope and the price together, before you commit to any of it.
How to work out the size of it.
There is no list price, because the size of the engagement is set by how many teams are in it and what it has to include, and we do not know either of those until we have talked to you.
You can still get close on your own. The engagement is built from Sprints. The AI Profit Sprint starts at $19,999 for one leader and one team of up to twenty people. The Advisory is one of those for each leader and team in scope, plus the leadership layer across them. Count the leaders and teams that would need to be in it and you have the base of the number before we speak.
Anything we agree to build around it is priced separately and shown to you in the scope, so nothing about the figure arrives late.
It finishes on the date it was scoped to finish.
This is not a retainer and it does not roll on. Building the engagement to what you need changes what goes into it. It does not change when it ends.
You are left with a plan for the year ahead for each team in scope, the view across all of them, and the leaders who own the work from there. Teams that were not in scope and now should be are scoped separately, as their own engagement.
The questions we hear most.
- What is the AI Transformation Advisory?
- The AI Transformation Advisory is Average Robot's organization-wide engagement for closing the AI Profitability Gap. It runs an AI Profit Sprint for each leader and team in scope, brings those reads into one view of the business, and adds a leadership layer across them. Around that core it is built to what the organization needs. Everything in it is agreed before it starts, and it has a start date and a finish date.
- How is it different from the AI Profit Sprint?
- The AI Profit Sprint covers one leader and one team of up to twenty people over 90 days, and it is the same for every client who buys it. The AI Transformation Advisory runs that same work for every leader and team in scope, adds a view across all of the teams and a leadership layer above them, and is then built out further to what the organization needs.
- What can be included beyond the Sprints?
- The parts clients ask for most often are executive coaching for the leaders whose teams are in scope, organizational strategy work on how roles and decisions are arranged once AI models are doing part of the job, work connecting the AI effort to the business strategy already in place, and sessions with the teams themselves. Which parts go in is decided during scoping and written into the scope with a price against it.
- Do you write our business strategy?
- No. Average Robot is a people and process firm, and your business strategy stays yours. Our work is to join the AI effort to it and to show you where the two do not yet line up. If the AI question has moved something material in the strategy, we show you what it is, and you take it to whoever owns it.
- How much does it cost?
- Average Robot does not publish a price for the AI Transformation Advisory, because the size of it is set by how many leaders and teams are in scope and what the engagement has to include. It is built from AI Profit Sprints, which start at $19,999 for one leader and one team of up to twenty people. Counting the leaders and teams that need to be in it gives you the base of the figure before you speak to us. Anything built around that core is priced separately, and the full scope and the full price are agreed together before anything starts.
- How long does it run?
- The dates are set during scoping, and the engagement has a start date and a finish date agreed before it begins. Each team in scope goes through the same 90 days of Sprint work. The AI Transformation Advisory is not a retainer and does not continue on an open-ended basis.
- Who in the business should own this?
- The leader accountable for what AI returns across more than one team. In practice that is usually the CEO who approved the spending, or the COO, CMO or CHRO who owns the work the AI spending is landing on. IT leadership sits alongside them, because the platform work and the people work have to stay in step.
Start by telling us which teams are in scope.
We will work out which teams belong in it and what the engagement needs to include. You see the scope and the price together, before you commit to anything.
